The Silent Elephant project, showcasing the Pretend men’s mental health event went well. The event took place on the 18th of November and had almost a 100 people in attendance. Andy’s man club gave a speech which was well received.

Next steps include finding out how people want to get involved in making productions and other roles within media.

This Media literacy project will be starting next year – more information soon.

North Manchester cultural festival

Bryony Carter held a session at FC United which was attended by members of the Inclusion partnership. This was a workshop to contribute ideas and insight into creating a celebration of culture across North Manchester.

  • Looking for a month where various smaller celebrations take place in different parts of north Manchester (and across different neighbourhoods)
  • We will possibly have the event in June next year instead of September, since September is when the Cheetham festival has been taking place for several years.
  • We plan to have a bigger scale opening and closing event, and (may include a parade). Details to be confirmed.
  • Another meeting will be planned before
